Dignity without depravity is the motto of this project. Our vision is to see the HIV infected humans to lead a peaceful life away from society that has not understand their plight nor want to interact.
Specially in India, HIV is considered a big taboo and information is lacking on the contagiousness of this disease. HIV infected patients find it very challenging to come out of their homes and lead a peaceful life and they are threatened by family and many times ostracized. They have been denied basic necessities of life.
Our Vision:
Provide a place of refuge Provide a modern health care and medications Provide a tool to earn money.
Based on the white blood cell counts, they will be taken in our home that will have 40 beds with an attached clinic for HIV testing and a lab. Preference would be given to more serious patients with lowest count of white blood cell counts.
A Care Home for HIV/AIDS patients has been conceptualized in a sprawl of 2 acres at Anakatti, at the outskirts of Coimbatore. It is an imminent project that is very much needed to support those affected by the HIV/AIDS in the district. A 40 bed facility has been envisioned, with a small clinic to store the medical and health supplies, and administer treatment. The Care home will also provide small-scale employment opportunities for the people living in the Home.
